Like its neighbour, 14442 has no IANA registration; the registry jumps from ca-web-update at 14414 to xpra at 14500. Nmap carries it as unknown. What makes it worth a note is the pairing: applications that need two ports commonly grab consecutive numbers, so 14441/14442 open together points at one program with two listeners rather than two unrelated services. The identity still has to come from a banner grab or from ss -ltnp on the host.
