The Reprise License Manager admin web server — license administration for CAD, EDA and VFX tools.
Reprise Software registered 5054 as rlm-admin, and the rlm daemon starts its embedded web server on that port automatically (override with -ws NNNNN). The license server itself answers on 5053, while 5054 is the browser interface used to view checkouts, edit the license file, reread licenses, and shut the server down. Since RLM v16.0 that interface is HTTPS by default with a self-signed certificate.
Do not expose
It is an administrative plane that can stop the license server and rewrite its configuration, and installs commonly keep the shipped default credentials. Bind it to the internal network only.
