Registered in 2006 as "SAC Port Id" and effectively unused since.
IANA assigns 8097 on both TCP and UDP to the service name sac, described only as "SAC Port Id", registered in April 2006. The registration carries no specification and no public implementation, so the name tells you nothing operationally. A listener on 8097 in practice is a locally chosen port, usually one more HTTP or application service in the 80xx range.
Expose with care
Do not read the registration as an identification; fingerprint the listener before deciding whether it belongs on the network it is on.
